1- Booking process

Booking through our website requires that you submit a true e-mail address, and your basic personal information. Credit card information is required to secure both your accommodations and the hosts' reservations, however, your credit card is NOT charged when you make a reservation with us. Making a reservation at www.guestroom.dk is FREE of charge. Please be aware that your reservation is not completed till your confirmation is displayed on your screen. Upon the completion, a confirmation e-mail is sent automatically to the e-mail address you have provided during the booking process. Your host also receives a copy of this confirmation, immediately. Please print this and show it at your arrival to your host.

2- Cancellation policy

You are allowed to cancel your reservation FREE OF CHARGE till 5 days before your stay begins. To cancel your reservation: Go to page “My Reservation” and enter your e-mail, reservation number and the secret number you are given in your confirmation. Click on the button “View/Modify/Cancel Reservation”. You are, then, able to cancel your reservation free of charge.

If a cancellation occurs within the last 5 days prior to your stay, then, Guestroom Denmark requires the payment of 1 night cost of your stay on behalf of the host.

3- Modification (changing) or adjustment of your reservation

You can modify or change your reservation free of charge till 5 days before your stay begins. To modify your reservation: Go to page “My Reservation” and enter your e-mail, reservation number and the secret number you are given in your confirmation. Click on the button “View/Modify/Cancel Reservation”. You are, then, able to make changes in your reservation free of charge. Please call us or write to us if you have any problems in accessing this self-service cancellation/modification page. Your host should approve it if you need to make changes to your reservation within the last 5 days prior to your stay.

4- Payment

Please pay your host preferably at your arrival. Please remember that your host is not able to accept credit card payments.

5- Security & privacy

All communication between your computers and our server is executed through secure servers, and is fully encrypted so that no information is ever lost, or can be surveyed by a third party. We do not keep record of your personal data while you visit our website. The cookies used here are only for basic statistical purpose, and no more.

Guestroom Denmark never discloses any information about you to third parties: Any information you have submitted to us, including your e-mail, phone number or numbers, addresses, and any other information about you and the people you are travelling together, and the information about the company or organization you are related to will always be kept confidential.

6- About Guestroom Denmark

Guestroom is the network of small bed and breakfast, and families offering private accommodations and lodging, flats, and guest houses. Your host is, in many cases, a local family with one or two guest rooms available in their houses or apartments. Types of accommodations are different from one family to another: with or without breakfast or with access to kitchen or self catering.

Our concept is based on the idea of offering alternative accommodation possibilities to the travellers. Our network was established in 2006. You receive a first-hand experience of Copenhagen, Denmark and the Danes when you stay with a local family: You experience not only the city and the sites you see but also the local people and culture in a personal way.

Different hosts offer different services, and the quality of the services may vary. Guestroom.dk is not responsible if the services provided by the host do not meet your expectations. In such cases, please talk to the host about your expectations. This will help avoiding many unnecessary misunderstandings. Please read the information provided on the host pages carefully. Please report us if you experience any problem as we will follow up on that seriously, and report back to you.
